Success at Texworld and Premiere Vision

COTTON USA exhibition stand

CCI returned to Paris last month to promote the benefits of American cotton at Texworld, the World Textile “rendez vous”. Approximately 15,000 trade professionals attended the exhibition, including a wide array of high-calibre prestigious buyers. CCI also attended Premier Vision, the World’s Premier Fabric Show which registered a massive 55,758 visits from fashion professionals across the globe.

CCI jointly exhibited with Cotton Incorporated at the world-renowned trade shows and featured the latest initiatives in Supply Chain Marketing. The industry was well represented and, despite the worldwide economic situation, visitors to both events increased by over 10 percent, demonstrating the shows vitality and appeal. CCI is proud to report an increase in quality meetings at the U.S. cotton booth, including approaches by manufacturers to become new licensees.

“Traceability” and “sustainability” were major themes at the event with buyers asking our representatives how to ensure cotton they buy can be traced. The CCI booth also featured information on U.S. cotton and cotton trends for 2011, plus a Supima section which highlighted U.S.-grown Pima cotton. The purpose of the booth was to bring buyers and suppliers together and highlight how CCI adds value to their businesses. Key European and American brands visited the booth on all days, giving CCI numerous opportunities to meet with current and prospective COTTON USA licensees, such as: Marks & Spencer, Benetton, Gerry Weber, Nike, Puma, Rocawear, Sainsbury’s, Sears and Target.

Look out for CCI’s stand at the next Texworld (8 - 11 February 2010) and Premiere Vision (9 - 12 February 2010) events.
