Consumer concern about environmental issues is one of the fastest-growing trends in the textile marketplace in recent years. Cotton Council International will be addressing this in a European conference on the subject of sustainability this November.

"Sustainability - A Driver for Business Growth" will deliver responses to key industry and consumer demands regarding sustainable home textiles and apparel. This will provide European retailers and brands with the unique opportunity to learn from international experts and share new ideas about all aspects of sustainable development, tracking and marketing. There will be discussions on the practical challenges faced and the solutions adopted to make sustainability a factor of business success, along with keynote speakers, case studies, novel programs to attend and networking opportunities.

Stephanie Thiers-Ratcliffe, CCI's International Marketing Manager, explains: "COTTON USA understands the increasing importance of environmental issues for consumers and their desire for cotton products which combine natural fibre benefits with sustainable production and processing."

The conference, "Sustainability - A Driver for Business Growth", is being held in Budapest, Hungary, from 4-6th November 2009.
